  • Start the trip in Santiago, one of the buzzing cities of South America – and explore its rich culture, colonial history, and modern outlook
  • Continue south to the very “sporty” city of Pucon, where we will do a couple of “teaser” hikes, including a volcano climb
  • Fly down to the city of Punta Arenas, truly the end of the World – acclimatize yourself to the strong sun and explore some of the city’s unique offerings including a Magellenic penguin colony on the Magdelena island with thousands of penguins from up close
  • The finale: Spend 7 days hiking in the wilderness of the Torres del Paine National park –This one will test your endurance but will be one of the prettiest hikes you have ever done – we guarantee it.

  • The name “Patagonia” comes from the character “Patagon” in a Spanish novel –and was given by the Spanish when they arrived there – looking at how tall and strong the native Tehuelche people were.
  • Patagonia has more than 30 National Parks – the Chilean Patagonia also has 5,000 rivers
  • Chile has one of the longest coastlines in the world (4500 km), but is only 1750 km wide – in this land there are over 1,500 volcanoes, of which around 500 are active
  • Chile has one of the longest recorded dry spells in the Atacama Desert where it did not rain for 40 years

WHEN TO TRAVEL

Being in Southern Hemisphere – Chilean summer is in the months of October – February, which is the best time to explore the park.
