US National Park Circuit

The National Park Circuit is amongst our most favorite itineraries. In a single trip you have an opportunity to go from the glamour and glitter of Las Vegas to the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, to the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon, on to the barren yet stunning landscapes of Canyonlands & Arches National Park, and finally the snow clad peaks of the majestic Rockies near Denver. This experience of America is unlike any other you have ever seen.

Trip Highlights

Check out phenomenal rock formations and amazing petroglyphs from over 3000 years ago in the Valley of Fire State Park

Explore the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park

Wonder at the unique sandstone Hoodoos – in the Bryce Canyon National Park

Hike up the unforgettable Delicate Arch – in the Arches National Park

Drive on the Schafer Canyon Trail – often called one of the most scenic drives in the world

Check out life at 12,000 feet – in the Rocky Mountain National Park

When to Travel – The National Park circuit is best visited in summer and fall – June to end of September.
We have organized two trips in 2013 – one in June and one in August.

Interesting Tidbits

This is an outdoors vacation, so the focus is more on nature than on swimming pools. We will stay in comfortable B&B inns and not fancy Sheratons because there aren’t any! If the group prefers, we can camp out in one of the parks too

This trip is suitable for all age groups. We expect to do a couple of good hikes in our route – especially the Delicate Arch Hike in Arches National Park – the view at the end is absolutely worth the effort put in, trust us! However if the entire group is not up to doing this, we will explore other easier trails, or skip it and drive to other parks

Since this is a road trip, we will be driving at least 3 hours a day. We will take plenty of halts and we guarantee you that the drives are most breathtaking

The Schafer Canyon drive in Canyonlands National Park is a tricky one, and while it is completely safe, you may reconsider if you have a fear of heights. We will omit this drive if the entire group chooses to, and instead go to the Dead Horse Point State Park
