The name “Patagonia” comes from the character “Patagon” in a Spanish novel - and was given by the Spanish when they arrived there- looking at how tall and strong the native Tehuelche people were

VISA INFO

Indian citizens need a visa to visit Chilean Patagonia, which must be obtained in advance as Chile does not offer visa on arrival for Indian passport holders. You can apply online or at the nearest Chilean Embassy for a tourist visa allowing up to 90 days of stay. Required documents include a valid passport, photo, travel itinerary, proof of funds, accommodation, and return tickets.
Visa processing typically takes 15–20 working days.
